The long-awaited opening of the Light of Findhorn Sanctuary is almost here!
It’s a time to gather – heart to heart, soul to soul, in Spirit, celebration, reflection, and dedication – whether you join us in person or from afar.
On Easter Sunday, 20 April 2025, we’ll be celebrating a truly special moment in the history of the Park Ecovillage Findhorn as we gather in person, or online, to celebrate the opening of the Sanctuary.
This beautiful new space, designed to hold up to 80 meditators, stands as a symbol of our collective resilience and renewal, replacing the much-loved sanctuary that graced this site for 53 years before the fire in April 2021. Its creation has been a true labour of love and community endeavour, shaped by years of community visioning, attunements, donations, and collective action.

How to be there, in person or online
Join us in-person or online for a special hour-long ceremony, which will include:
An invitation to personally meet and connect to the Light of Findhorn Sanctuary
A guided meditation followed by 20 minutes of silence
Time for reflection and connection with this sacred space
A closing blessing, sending the energy out into the world.
The programme (all times are British Standard Time, BST)
3-3.30pm Children’s Sanctuary – David Hammond will lead a joyful start, setting the tone for this sacred space to flourish for generations to come. Contact Karen Grant, sanctuary.focaliser@parkecovillagetrust.co.uk for details.
4pm or 6pm (2 ceremonies) – Join us outside the Sanctuary to hold the space in silent presence, or sign up to meditate inside during one of two ceremonies, led by Kathy Tyler (each ceremony accommodates 80 participants).

7pm to 11am, 21 April (through the night) – The Sanctuary will remain open all night, with Guardians present, so there are many opportunities to experience the opening energy of the Light of Findhorn Sanctuary (no sign-up required).
